24th World Scout Jamboree – Participant applications
The 24th World Scout Jamboree is going to be held in North America in July/August 2019 and we need Scouts and Explorers to represent Greater London South West.
We are looking for 72 young people for the adventure of a lifetime – GLSW is sending two complete units of 36 young people and 4 adults to America.
This is a once in a lifetime experience – you can only go to the World Jamboree as an Explorer and the Jamboree is once every four years.

29th Purley Cub Scouts celebrate 100 years of adventure in the House of Commons
The Scout Association’s “Cubs 100” year of celebrations has been taking place throughout 2016 remembering 100 years of adventure and fun since Cubs were established in 1916
Cubs all over the country took part in Promise Parties, renewing their promise at exactly 19:16 on December 16th

Ron LEONARD – 23rd Croydon. It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the sad passing of Ron LEONARD former GSL at 23rd Croydon. Towards the latter part of last year Ron was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and was being cared for at home by his wife Yvonne, son(s) Richard and Paul and Richard’s partner Julie with support from the palliative care team. A few weeks ago he was transferred to a nursing home in South Croydon where he died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday …
