The 22nd World Scout Jamboree is being held in Sweden from 27th July to 7th August 2011. The theme of the Jamboree is 'Simply Scouting'. District has reserved 10 places for young people from Croydon. The cost will be £1800 plus additional costs. Two Jamboree workshops have now been held and application forms given to those interested parties. The closing date for District applications is 30th November 2009. All applications will be acknowledged to confirm receipt and a selection day/weekend is being organised for 30th/31st January 2010.

The age restriction for applicants is minimum 14yrs and no more than 18yrs at the start of the Jamboree. Congratulations to Jenny Handley (DESC) who has been appointed as one of the contingent Leaders.
