CroyCamp

What is CroyCamp

CroyCamp 2021 is a District camp being put on to bring together all members of Croydon Scouting for a truly unforgettable and thrilling activity weekend to celebrate the very best of local scouting and how far Croydon scouting has came within the recent years.

The camp will be held in 2010. It is going to held at Frylands Wood Campsite and we have chosen this site due to the location & proximity of public transport links and lastly, the size of the campsite.

We are aiming to have around 1,100 campers for the weekend, with roughly 400 beavers staying over the Saturday/Sunday.

How will the event run?

Each day will be started with a flag break and you will then be able to go off and do what ever activities you wish

You will have around 60 activities to do within the 6 hour period (3hrs in morning & 3hrs after lunch). For all of these activities you will not be able to book any of them prior or during the camp, all activities will be run on a ‘Queue and Do’ system.

Once you have finished your 6 hours of activities & the evening flag down – the kids will have 2 hours’ worth of evening activities to do!

These will range from; a firework display, watching a movie, 4×4 Off Road Experience and more.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
