Rules of Challenge Competition:-
Croydon District Post-It Challenge is open to ALL Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and there will be an a significant valued prize awarded in each District Section to the single Beaver, Cub and Scout proposed by their Section Leaders, provided with evidence / citation and considered on merit and achievement by the DC and Sectional ADC’s in each Section.
The poster and ideas shown are purely samples / ideas of things currently happening in Croydon but are by no means definitive. Many ideas and resources are available using the links above, and will be shared on Croydon Scouts – Leaders FB over the coming weeks / months. There is specifically no minimum or maximum number of Community, Activity or Award tasks set to be undertaken by the young people in this challenge and the Section Leaders will nominate an individual Beaver, Cub or Scout where applicable to be considered for the Award. However generally this nomination would only be when the young person has undertaken at least an equal number of tasks from each criteria (Community / Activities / Awards) and thereby entering into the full spirit of the challenge.
A Leaders nomination would also take into the account the young person who has fully embraced the full aspect of the challenge scheme and had shown enthusiasm, support and fully engaged with all Sectional activities offered by their Leaders during this difficult time of no face to face Scouting, meeting, events or activities.
During this difficult time we know our Section Leaders in Groups are racking their brains to ensure exciting ideas and activities are offered to our young people. Hopefully the Post-It Challenge will be a way of harnessing the momentum already running in Croydon and give the young people something special to work towards.
To make this challenge work please exchange your ideas on Croydon Scouts Leaders FB and post any photo’s, successes or comment and most importantly work with your peers to ensure we offer our young people in Croydon the very best Scouting experience until normal Scouting can resume once again.
