Google My Business
Google My Business (GMB) is a free service designed to allow local business to promote themselves online for free. Having a GMB profile literally gets your scout group listed on the map that appears at the top of the search results. Every month an average person will run around 50 searches looking for local businesses and for many online is where they will first look to find a business in their area. If your Scout group is not visible online, new parents may well not know that your scout group even exists!!
There are many advantages to setting up a profile as not only do you get free visibility for your group but you can also get reviews from parents (which are a powerful form of marketing) and create posts about upcoming events and activities.
