Bears Wood Camp Site

The campsite is set in 10 acres of ancient woodland leased from Croydon Council and offers a combination of large open group sites and smaller gladed patrol sites and is ideal for backwoods camping, wide games etc.  There a number of self-led activities available on site for you to book.

The site also has a purpose-built building with toilets, washing facilities and showers all with disabled accessibility, a large hall, small meeting room, fully equipped kitchen and an 8 roomed dormitory block that can sleep 30 young people plus a separate 6 bedded room for adults/over 18s only.

The site is open to Scout and Guide groups and available for hire by school and youth groups alike for meetings, training and overnight experiences.

We are constantly developing the site through the hard work of our non-resident campsite team and look forward to your visit.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
